As
stated in our church covenant, our purpose in ministry outreach
is to encourage family and personal devotions; to religiously
educate our children; to seek the salvation of our friends
and acquaintances; to walk as Jesus walked in the world; to
be just in our dealings, faithful in our engagements, and
exemplary in our conduct. It is our commitment to the Lord
to be obedient to His commandments.
It is our task to edify the body of Christ and to be zealous
in our efforts to advance the kingdom of our Savior. One of
the avenues we accomplish this is through our minsitries to
the church body and outreaches to the local community.
If you, as a member of Colonial Baptist Church, have
an new ministry idea or burden to start a new outreach at
Colonial Baptist, please contact Pastor
Larry Marvel or Pastor
Mike Winter.

In
fulfilling the great commission(Matthew 28:19) we seek to have
a well rounded involvement in missions.
We use a faith promise system of raising support for missionaries
and mission organizations. We also promote many short term mission
trips and hands on projects within our communities. Our focus
on missions is equally shared by our youth group, Firestarters.

Trip in July 2008.

One
of the greatest needs of women today is relationships. With
the pressures of raising a family, often working outside the
home, it can be difficult to build meaningful relationships
/ friendships that encourage our walk with Christ. Our ladies
ministry provides regular opportunities to connect with other
women through Bible study, ladies nights out, pool and pray
,and many other outlets,as they seek to build unity in Christ.
Please contact Martha
Marvel to get involved in our Ladies Ministries. |
